Currently we have forty participants in our November Reading Program now through

 

November 22 for ages 0-high school.  Rules are simple and the reading incentives are

 

provided by the FRIENDS group, November 10-15—Monical’s Pizza and

 

November 17-22—Tolono Dollar General.  There is still plenty of time to sign up

 

and get started reading—the more you read the more incentives you earn!!

 

 

Mark your calendars for two special programs coming up within this next week.

 

Our first Gaming Day for all ages will be Saturday, November 15, at l-4 p.m.

 

You may register by calling Tricia at 485-5558 or email @ triciaalthaus@yahoo.com The Library will provide board and video games such as Sorry,

 

Pictureka,  RockBand and Dance Dance Revolution.

 

 

On Monday, November 17, our annual “Christmas Make/Take Crafts” session for ages

 

5-12 with a parent when 3 craft items will be made suitable for gift-giving.  There is no

 

registration and the fun begins at 6:30-7:30 p.m.

 

 

“Nutrition in a Bag”, our new storytime for ages 3-5 conducted by U of I Extension, is

 

once a month when a story and yummy snacks as well as activities are provided.  Again,

 

there is no registration for this time slot l:30-2:15 p.m. on Thursday, November 13.

 

 

Send your students for the after school session “Cook’n & Move’n” when grades 1-6 will

 

learn about nutritious food and do fun activities from 3:30-4:15 p.m.  There is no

 

registration.

 

 

PATENT WONDERS Playgroup ages 2-5 meet on Friday, November 14, at

10:30 to ll:30 a.m. with no registration.  Learn some helpful hints for child development

 

from the experts and interact with your child in fun activities.  Ages 0-24 months will

 

meet on Friday, November 21, at the same time.

 

 

Monday children’s storytimes continue for ages 3-5 at l:30-2:15 p.m. with no registration.

 

The next session is November 17, so mark your calendar and plan to come.  In addition

 

to a story, a rhyme, a song and a simple craft, and a snack, the social interaction is

 

 important for young children.

 

 

After school bingo is each Wednesday for children ages 5-up at 3:30-4 p.m.  Send you

 

students for some after school fun with friends and chances to win prizes from our

 

overflowing fishbowl.  No registration is required.  There will be no bingo on

 

November 26 due to early school dismissal.

 

 

The after school movie for Thursday, November 20, will be “Wall-E” for grades 1-6

 

at 3:15 p.m.

 

 

A FRIENDS of the library meeting is Thursday, November 20, at 7 p.m.  Why not hear

 

what’s happening with this groups projects and bring a friend!?

 

 

Scrapbookers—come on Friday, November 21, at 6 p.m. and work on your own project
